Exhibition opening times 10.00 - 16.00
To celebrate Chemistry Week 2007, the RSC will be hosting an exhibition featuring the following:
- A selection of some of the best entries submitted for the RSC Bill Bryson Science Competition for schools, including the winning entries.
- The Art-into-Science, Science-into-Art work based on liquid crystal images produced by the University of York.
There is free admission to the exhibition and no booking is necessary.
September 2007
1st - 30th : Communications on the Move. Location: York National Railway Museum.
For the whole month of September there will be an exhibition at the York National Railway Museum. The exhibition consists of a Modern Day Technology and Liquid Crystal Art Textures. I believe that there is no admission fee to view the exhibition as there is no fee to enter the NRM.
9th - 15 th : Science into Art - Art into Science. Location: York Minster. Part of the BA Festival of Science in York.

We are showing a number of pieces of artwork at a public exhibition at York Minster as part of the BA Festival of Art. The exhibition will consist of Liquid Crystal Texture Art Work and Sculptures of Liquid Crystals. There is an entry fee of £5.50; Senior (60+) and Student £4.50, Child (Under 16s) Free. Fees are to be paid on the door (no booking required). If you are/were unable to attend this exhibition, we hope to be bringing this back during 2008, so check back for future dates.
12th at 16:30 : Lip Gloss to Flat Screens: Back to the Future with Liquid Crystals. Location: University of York, Chemistry Department. Part of the BA Festival of Science in York.
This even is a public lecture that I am giving within the Chemistry Department at the University of York. The lecture is open invitation and can be attended by one and all. There will be no entry fees to the lecture.
